From the supplier: A California judge is ordering the state insurance commission to stop crediting insurers for premium tax payments and agent and brokers' commissions and fees when calculating Proposition 103 refunds. A 1993 law allows the commission to factor in 1989 payments when setting refunds, but the Proposition 103 Enforcement Project is challenging the law. Agent and brokers' principal concern about the ruling is that insurers will seek reimbursement from them.
